Yes, the repairs did cost quite a bit, but they have really great ways to help you out with payment plans if you no longer have warranty.
I had an issue of a bad battery. Talked with Brian in parts and he said "it was probably still under warranty, bring it in and they would look at." Got to the dealer and even though I didn't have an appointment, they got me in, checked it out and replaced the battery and coded it all before 5 pm. I highly recommend VW of Alamo Heights.
